Happy New Year!

Today's the first day in 2009, and I pushed myself hard to do something worth. So here proudly presenting some of today's productive activities: I started the day with a pray (yippieee...). I prayed all my activities, effort, family, friends, friends' families, to be in our best in 2009. It's a syafaat prayer after all. In the middle I heard the sound of bombings and fireworks outside, that didn't make me stop, I just felt so pity for them. Seperti kata Bang Faisal: apakah petasan dan kembang api adalah wujud syukur kita? 

Then I went to sleep (ofcozzz...it was already after midnight! going to sleep after midnight was a world record to me). woke up at 8 something, had a breakfast and opened my laptop. I checked my students' papers, sending emails to people, in the middle reading my mockingbird (it's unfinished). Around 1 pm finished checking papers, entried their data to siakNG after calling some agreement with Pak Win, my teaching partner. 

After that...tried to take a nap...failed...read the mockingbird...bored....read one of my students' thesis draft...success...sent the draft to the owner to be improved. It was a hard rain around 3-4 pm, almost cancelled my plan to the bookstore. At 5 the rain stopped, took a bath then off to gramedia bookstore. The bookstore was closed!!! I rushed to DETOS, there's TM bookstore there...it was closed either. Omigod...I wasn't allowed to spend my first money in 2009 on books! Sad oh sad....

So there I was...spending money on everything but books. Still productive though...Got home and start reading my other student's thesis. This one a hard case...because he's cleverer than the other, and obviously he read a lot. I spent much time reading this one, tried to find his flaws. Hehehe...what kind of a teacher I was...

Finished it by 10 pm, then sent it again by email (I am always thankful to the technology for making my work real easier, except that this Indosat broadband access was real pain in the ass for me). Then patiently I spent time browsing internet and wrote this one....until I went to sleep. Zzzzzz....happy new year everybody...zzzzz
